George was born in New Rochelle, NY on March 17, 1958 to Norman Henry and Dorothy Rochelle Wyner.  He joined his sister, Jeanne Carol.  The family moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1969.

George started playing the guitar at the age of 13. His early influences were The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Dan Fogelberg. He began playing professionally at the age of 20.

He played in rock, country, and disco bands in Tampa, Florida. He also played in cover bands and in an all original rock band in New York City. He did solo acoustic gigs and played with various rock and country bands in clubs and for private parties in Nashville, Tennessee. He also did demo work with aspiring singer/songwriters in New York and Nashville.

He married Victoria Horn of Hendersonville, Tennessee on September 5, 1997 and lived in Hendersonville with her and his beloved cats.

The last two months of his life were spent in Madison, Florida with his sister and her family.
